Don't see or not sure what you are looking for? Need help turning your CD or DVD packaging vision into reality? No matter which stage of development you are in, EDS can help design, prototype and manufacture the perfect package for your single or multi-disc product. We consider aesthetics, durability, marketability, weight, feel and function. Send us your product and requirements and we'll design a prototype for your consideration.

Getting Started:

To help us make the perfect custom packaging for your product, there are a few simple things we need to know. Depending on whether we are re-packaging an existing product or starting from scratch, one or all of the following steps may be needed to help us create a package you will love.

1. Send A Sample of Your Current Product

If we are converting or repackaging an existing product, it is always a big help when a customer sends us a sample of their current packaging solution. This helps us evaluate where you've been so we better understand where you want to go with the new design. Send your sample to:

2. Sketch & Describe Your Vision for Your New Package

Sketch out the idea you have for the package and keep in mind, it doesn't have to be a work of art! We just need to get a general idea of your vision. Include some comments on which elements of the design should be given the most importance. This can also include some examples of packaging designs that you want your product to emulate, along with a description of the parts of the example design you like/dislike. Once complete, scan the sketch and reference images and email along with your comments to service@mixedmediadirect.com

If you prefer to have us initiate the design, no worries. We are great at coming up with fresh new ideas that our clients love.

3. Tell Us About the Features & Benfits of Your New Package

Write us an email or send us a (.doc or .pdf) that explains the features and benefits of your new package. Below are some questions that may help get your thoughts on paper:

  • How many discs should the package hold?
  • Will it contain collateral print material? If yes, will it be a single page index/flyer or a multi-page booklet? Will it be in color or black and white?
  • Should the collateral print material be assembled loose, integrated (stitched in) or fastened with a metal or plastic ring binding system?
  • Will there be color artwork on the the inside and outside cover of your package box/wallet/case?
  • Will any foiling, spot UV coating or other special printing inks or techniques be required/desired?
  • Should the package be made from paper, art card, cardboard, leather, plastic or other?
  • Do you want the discs fastened or secured with pockets, sleeves, compression hubs or other?
  • Is the weight/size of the package a factor because of mailing/shipping costs and considerations?
